A Millennium Park Engagement: Carolina + Adam

After working for several years and countless hours, Carolina and Adam were finally paired together for the same project. Carolina was in the process of completing her PhD in the Cancer Immunotherapies Program at the University of Illinois, and Adam had just finished his PhD in Biochemistry. It was no wonder that both having a passion for improving medicine grew to an instant friendship. Friendship turned to love. And the rest is…history.

During her childhood, Carolina loved living in Puerto Rico.  She spent her days enjoying the warm sunshine, swimming in the turquoise waters at the beach, and loved everything about the vibrant culture. Adam knew of Carolina’s love for the beach and the place she called home for the first fifteen years of her life.   So, when Adam decided to propose, he knew he wanted to ask her to marry him on the island of Puerto Rico.  A little over a year and a half ago, the two planned a trip and spent the Christmas holiday in Puerto Rico with friends and family. Traveling with the Engagement Ring proved to be quite the challenge as Adam worried how he could travel and hide the ring, keeping the proposal a surprise. He worried so much he forgot to pack shorts FOR THE CARIBBEAN.

The ring arrived safely, and Adam proposed to Carolina on a bright sunny day in the middle of El Yunque Rainforest. On one knee, Adam asked Carolina to spend the rest of her life with him. She said, Yes, and in less than two weeks from now, they are getting married in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Carolina and Adam, I was SO honored when you asked me to take your Engagement pictures! As a past Dominican Republic Bride myself, you can’t go wrong marrying barefoot on a beautiful beach, standing next to your best friend. I wish you both so much love, happiness, and many more Caribbean vacations together– with shorts packed;)  XOXO, Annie

Enjoy some of my favorites…

(Get ready, Carolina is STUNNING)!

We met at the Art Museum and these two gems brought me a fancy Latte!

Besides being madly in love, they make each other laugh<3

Beautiful you two!

I have known Carolina and Adam for a couple years, and happen to know how absolutely perfect they are for each other!

<3  You honestly can’t take one bad picture of these two!

Stunning and Handsome.  (In that Order).

Adam looking very dapper…

Oh, Carol… GORGEOUS!

Besides being extremely smart, they are two of the nicest people I have ever met!

Adam requested we go somewhere with Grit.  So, naturally, I took them under the L Train on Wabash.  It really doesn’t get more grittier than that;)

As if being extremely smart, nice, and beautiful isn’t enough… they are awesome dancers:)

<3

After a quick change, we took some more pictures downtown and then headed to the park!

Carolina can always be a supermodel if the whole MD, PhD thing doesn’t work out!

Love!  Carolina’s sister-in-law helped Carolina style her wardrobe for the session… Fantastic work, Lauren!

LOVED our time in Millennium Park as the sun was setting lower and lower in the sky!

These two… <3

I’ll end with this picture because as I was packing my camera bag, this happened and was the last picture before the sun set… <3

Have a GREAT Weekend, friends and Congratulations, Carolina + Adam;) XO
