A Romantic Seaside Wedding at The Pink Shell Resort: Angie + Brent

It all began in Chicago and their story is no different than every other classic love story… it began with tacos and margaritas.  From the moment Brent first locked eyes with Angie and saw her infections smile, he knew he had found the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his days with.  After that first meeting, Angie was working crazy hours most days and it wasn’t until almost 2 months later, they would go on a first date.

The weather was starting to turn in Chicago and Brent thought it was the perfect opportunity for a fall picnic along Lake Michigan.  In his true, romantic fashion, he packed his jeep with blankets, some candles, made a playlist, got a bunch of bbq from lilly Q and threw a couple bottles of wine in a cooler.  The two laughed and talked, and cuddled as the sun set until two officers rode up on bikes asking them to leave the park that late night.
Their friendship and love grew and grew for one another over the course of the next year.  In a turn of events, Angie was in a bad car accident the following summer and something tragic turned into a defining moment in their relationship.  Instead of enjoying Chicago’s summer on the lakefront and on patios, they spent time together in and out of doctor offices, and on the couch.  It was days and nights of seeing each other at their best and worst, tears, happiness, unconditional love, pain, and gratefulness that they began to see what two becoming ONE looked like.
The following year, Brent and Angie decided to move, put roots down, and begin their business is Louisville, KY.  Together they planned a big, going away party to celebrate with friends and family and the night before, Brent asked Angie to be his wife.  She of course said, “Yes.”
I was honored when I was introduced to Angie from one of our favorite planners at The Pink Shell Beach and in the small world we live in– past couples that she knew I had photographed in the Chicagoland area.  These two planned a beautiful celebration of love, and it was nothing short of a stunning celebration along the ocean.   The absolute unconditional love these two share for one another is inspiring to say the least, and friends and family who have the pleasure of knowing them, are the lucky ones.  I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from Angie and Brent’s Wedding Day…

Angie got ready with her best friends before getting into her gorgeous Vera Wang gown

The beautiful Bride.  For those that know Angie, know her beauty is just as bright on the inside

While the Bride got ready, Brent and his details were looking quite dapper

Since they were getting married just before sunset; I adore they chose to see each other before the ceremony for some special, and private moments with just the two of them

THAT right there… is a happy (and lucky) groom…

STUNNING.

Oh you two…

After some time to relax, friends and family gathered on the beach of Estero Island to see two become one.

Angie’s dad walked her down the long and beautiful aisle to Brent

Officially, Mr. and Mrs!

The sweetest and most beautiful Bridal Party…

Just before their reception began, we headed down to the beach for some romantic moments just before the storm rolled in

Loving toasts and laughter filled the patio that night…

An impressive toe touch by one of Brent’s football friends…

I’ll end with this one, because I love this love.
