A Spring Engagement Celebrated in Western Springs: Katie + Jesse
It was winter time in the city. Christmas and the New Year’s had just passed and love was in the cool, crisp air. Katie and Jesse decided to travel into the city for a night out on the town. More specifically… their favorite town. It had become an annual tradition to have dinner, some cocktails and go ice skating in Millennium Park. Twinkling lights on all the trees lit up the beautiful Chicago skyline more than usual as the two laughed and created more memories.
After skating, the two went up to The Bean nearby the Promenade. This trip to the city had been their second annual tradition, but that night, Jesse wanted to add a memory that only happens once. He got down on one knee, and asked Katie to marry him. She happily said, Yes as he put a beautiful, sparkly ring on her finger!
Later this Fall, Katie and Jesse will be saying “I DO” in front of their family and close friends. I couldn’t be more excited to be photographing their special day as they they celebrate the first day of their lives together. For their Engagement session, we traveled to one of their favorite little towns just outside of the city. Here are some of my favorites…
