A Spring Time Engagement in the Heart of Old Town: Kayleigh + Nathan

She drove up to their first date in her beloved lime green Volkswagen Beetle and he walked outside to greet her.  Nathan remembers her as cute and made some cliche joke about her car; while Kayleigh remembers him wearing his softball uniform and being shorter than she imagined he would be.  Later that night, Nathan leaned in for a kiss, and Kayleigh leaned out.  Five years later, this is something they still joke about to this day.

Shortly after meeting for the first time, they soon fell in love.  Shortly after falling in love, Kayleigh moved to downtown Chicago to finish her design degree at Harrington School of Design.  After years of suburb to Chicago long distance dating, Nathan proposed to the love of his life a month after she graduated while visiting their best friends in Arizona.

I just love when my couples think outside of the pretty park box, and choose their engagement location where it holds some significance or memory.  They love laughing together and one of their very first dates was at a comedy show in Chicago.  Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful couple in my neighborhood of Old Town where some of the best comedy clubs in Chicago thrive.  As I had hoped, their session was full of so much love, gorgeous evening light and of course… laughter.  I can’t wait for these lovebirds to get married this coming Fall, and I hope you enjoy some of my favorites! XO

We met at Second City in Old Town and they couldn’t have chosen a better location!

I truly believe laughter is a key ingredient in marriage.  If this is true, these two are in for a fun ride…

Kayleigh, you are going to be ONE GORGEOUS BRIDE.

Beautiful you two!

Have a wonderful weekend, friends!  Be sure to leave some love for these lovebirds… <3
