It’s true that numbers hold significance for some many people from all parts of the world. It’s not rare that couples getting engaged or married flock to dates that have meaning, significance and special orders in hopes of luck and dreams of everlasting love. A little over a year and a half ago, a rare once in a lifetime date that metaphorically symbolized one love, one life together happened…November 11, 2011. That, however, is not the day Sean proposed to Megan.
Megan and Sean had been dating for several years and went to a steakhouse for dinner the following day, November 12, 2011. This day happened to be Sean’s parents 35th wedding anniversary and Megan had no idea this date would become near and dear in her heart as well. As Sean’s dad raised his glass to his bride of 35 years, he proposed a toast to another 35 more years of health and happiness in front of his wife and children. It was then in moments of celebration, Sean turned to Megan sitting next to him, knelt on one knee and pulled a ring out from his pocket. Sean didn’t need luck or a numerologists dream day in order to profess his love for the woman he wanted to share his life with. 35 years of love, devotion and example is the only luck they will ever need.
As you can guess, Megan was completely surprised and joyfully replied “Yes.” Last weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing their engagement session at Buckingham Fountain and a nearby area in downtown Chicago. We ended their picture taking session at the amazing Shedd Aquarium where they love spending time there together! Their E-session had a little rain and wind, but so much love is shared between these two to get in the way of that! I can’t wait for their Golf Club Wedding in a few short weeks. Enjoy some of my favorites from the day…
