Historic Hotel Baker Wedding: Katie + Alan

I arrived to Hotel Baker on a chilly, but gorgeous Fall Day.  Katie and Alan’s wedding day had finally arrived and the day was a beautiful celebration from start to finish.  The Bride glowed as she got ready in the Baker Suite surrounded by her mom, sister and best friends.  Alan and his groomsman were a few doors down in the Penthouse Suite getting handsome before the day began.

A little while before the ceremony, Katie and Alan chose to see one another before getting married in the gorgeous Rose Garden.  After some especially sweet moments between the two, we had the privilege of  capturing some amazing images of just the two of them.  In the early evening, Katie’s dad walked her down the aisle of the Rainbow Room to marry the man she had fell in love with years ago.  Celebrations continued the rest of the evening when the room was transformed into an intimate reception for their closest friends and family.

I absolutely loved photographing this stunning wedding, at such a gorgeous venue on the river in picturesque Saint Charles, IL.  Katie and Alan created a simply magical day styled to the perfect Fall day wedding.  And, yes, this is where Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg were married last year.  I hope you enjoy some of my favorites of their beautiful love story. XO

When I arrived to amazing details to photograph, I knew the day was going to be amazing.

Oh, how I just adore incorporating something from a parent’s wedding day.  Katie wore the same shoes as her mom wore on the day she married her dad.

Oh, Katie… You are stunning.

Truly, STUNNING.

And the flowers.  GORG!

While Katie got ready, Alan was doing just the same.  But maybe with some bubbly.

A toast with your groomsman before seeing your Bride is a must.

The intimate FIRST LOOK in the lovely Rose Garden at Hotel Baker.

You two are just lovely.

A favorite of mine of this truly lovely Bride.

Just before guests began arriving, the Bride and Groom relaxed and got ready to become Mr. and Mrs!

The Rainbow Room was the perfect backdrop for a stunning wedding.

Katie’s Dad walking her down the aisle was such a sweet moment.

The Cover Girls Violin Show added a special touch to the ceremony.

The kiss was definitely an impressive kiss.

Officially, Mr. and Mrs!

Always take some moments to just have YOU time after getting married.

The ever lovely bridesmaids…

Heidi, Katie’s sister, served as the most wonderful and beautiful Maid of Honor.

The groomsman were especially handsome as well.

The navy blue and gray served as perfect accent colors to this fall wedding day.

Cocktail hour began…

…and the Rainbow Room was transformed to the most intimate reception.

By day, Alan is a chef, and evidentially inherited his mother’s culinary skills as she made the cakes for her son and new daughter in laws big day.

Toasts and so much love was given to the newly married couple.

They danced to “Then” by Brad Paisley, and there was not a dry eye in the Bridal Party.

Guests danced and celebrated the night away…

I’ll end with this lovely picture, because I think it showcases their love beautifully at a place where they began the rest of their lives together! XO
