Life with Harper

Life lately has been quite the ride.  A hectic, wonderful, crazy, full of coos and first smiles, endless laundry, beautiful… beautiful, sleepless ride.  Before I get back to blogging insanely beautiful weddings, engagements and portraits; it’s important to introduce you to the new, little lady in our life.  Harper Steele entered the world on June 28, 2015 and our life was forever changed.

The past few weeks have been spent snuggling and getting to know our sweet girl.  Before she was born, Peter and I knew it was a girl, but had not decided on a name.  We didn’t think we could name her without seeing her sweet face, but luckily did have two names picked out that we loved.  She was born on an early Sunday morning, and the two names we had picked didn’t suit her at all.  It wasn’t until the day we left the hospital, that her dad suggested Harper… and in that moment, she was a Harper.

While we slowly get back to capturing the joy and love in your lives, we would like to show you what has brought us so much love and joy.  We are in absolute love.  Say Hello to Harper…

Born 5 days early, she was healthy and happy (and pink all over)

She has the cutest peach fuzz head of hair… almost like a little duckling.

The many sweet faces of a newborn…

Besides eating, her other favorite past time is stretching <3

Full of so much wonder (photo by her dad)

Ellie was afraid for her life ecstatic when we brought Harper home.  Just kidding, we are sure one day soon they will be the best of friends…

She loves tummy time so much, she falls asleep!

THIS is Harper.  Sweet and smiley all over…

We used this picture for her announcement.  She was 8 days old here, and it was the first day she truly had her eyes open for a good part of the day…

Peter gave me this beautiful rose gold, morganite and diamond stunner on the day Harper was born.  I can’t wait for her to wear it one day… graduations, dances, possibly on her wedding day… tear.

On her one month birthday, we found out she didn’t care for pink roses.  They make her mad and she immediately wants to throw them out of formation.

Happy Tuesday, friends! xo
