Happy Wednesday, friends!
I debated posting this post today, not because of the day, but because of its content. Because I struggle with drawing the line between my personal life and business, really. Social media has had such a positive impact on my growing business, and through that, I have shared my images, my clients, and my life. Wonderful clients I work with share their lives with me, their love, their friends and family, and the majority of their Wedding Day. It makes complete sense for me to share my life with them.
For those that don’t know, my first degree is in Radiology, and I have worked in CT scan and Interventional Radiology for the past 8 years. I truly love working with patients and being able to work, see, and hear how medical advancement is constantly changing. I loved that I started my Freshman year of College as a Business major, because I met my husband that semester. After my first year of not enjoying my chosen college path, I was accepted into a Radiology program a friend suggested. 2 years later, I graduated, and was offered a great job doing CT Scan at an Immediate Care Center. While working, I took night and weekend classes working on my bachelors degree. I graduated shortly after, but always had the passion of something more. Something was missing.
As my business has increased immensely in the past two years and still working full-time; I have only been able to take on so many weddings, and so many portrait sessions. After months and months of discussing, planning and preparing; I recently decided to take a huge leap of faith. First, I became a Part time employee. Second, I began diving into my business every single day. And last, but certainly not least; pursue my passion– learn to jump, and live out my dreams! That is why, after years of only taking on so many Weddings, I can now dream a little bigger. With your help of course. Happy to announce, we now have openings for the Fall + Winter Wedding Season, 2014. There are special incentives in booking your last minute Photography, so if you or someone you know is having a small backyard Wedding, or a lavish downtown affair; I’d love to hear from you!
For those dreamers out there like me, keep dreaming. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. The reality is that life is short, and we should never let small obstacles derail our passion. There will be many hundreds of obstacles that will get in your way – but perseverance always prevails.
If you, or know of someone looking for a Wedding Photographer for their 2014 Fall or Winter Wedding, I’d love to hear from you! It would be an honor to capture your special day– and we are offering an amazing SPECIAL if you book your 2014 Wedding with ASP!
