For the past few weeks, I have been counting my blessings a little more often than I have in the past. Shame on me for not always giving thanks as much as I should, but as a true midwesterner…I’m blaming it on the weather. And life being busy. In light of this, I’m telling you three things that I happy, thankful and hopeful for…
This coming Spring, we will be MOVING. Yes, after 3 wonderful years in the heart of downtown Chicago, we will be packing our
bags card board boxes and heading north. Ok…ok, it’s only 1.2 miles north, but one inch outside of downtown feels like the suburbs (according to my husband) that has recently conceded to the “burb life” of OLD TOWN. That’s right readers, Peter refers to our new home as THE BURBS. We will be moving into more space with a neighborhood feel of entrepreneur shops and delicious restaurants galore. Located very close to peaceful parks and the wonderful Lakefront makes me so happy! I will officially have an office and not just a desk crammed into the corner of the living room… WAHOO!!!
In light of yesterday’s tragic events in Boston, I’m extra thankful for all those in my life. My parents, my husband, my dog (you knew it was coming), all of my sibling and sweet nieces + handsome nephew, friends near and dear, friends far away that I don’t see enough, and the amazing people that have blessed my life more than I deserve, in front of my camera. My heart wouldn’t be full of such joy without all of you in it.
Finally, I’m hopeful for better days ahead as the world fights evil and unforeseen forces. I’m hopeful that in life, love will always prevail.
And because posts are always better with a picture, below is the first ring shot of the new year! This ring is absolutely gorgeous and I can’t wait to show you the rest of Katie and Jesse’s Engagement Session later this week on the blog…
Have a wonderful Tuesday!
