West Loop Union Station Engagement: Heather and Bobby

The moment I met her late last year, I knew I liked her.  We had met at a local coffee shop in the loop after work and we talked all about her upcoming wedding.  Heather had seen my blog after a friend of hers was a guest at a wedding we had photographed last fall.  She had just gotten engaged to her love of 10 years and I knew this upcoming wedding was going to be a very special day between two people in love.

They had met the summer before going to college.  That same year in the fall is when they both coincidentally were starting college at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana together.  A year of friendship turned the corner and a beautiful relationship began towards the end of the school year.  After 4 years of college, they graduated and moved to Chicago to begin their careers.  Years of love grew into the everlasting kind of love.  It was the day before Heather’s 29th Birthday when Bobby surprised her with a horse and carriage ride on the iconic Michigan Avenue.  In a private and loving moment, Bobby proposed to Heather with a beautiful ring.  She said “yes” and the rest of her birthday weekend was celebrated with friends and family.

Heather and Bobby’s Engagement session began at their condo and we traveled to a few special locations nearby for some more picture taking of this fun pair.  I can’t wait to photograph their fall wedding later this year at the downtown Chicago, Hard Rock Hotel as they start the rest of their lives together.  I hope you enjoy some of favorites…

XO, Annie

 Have a great weekend, friends!
